Why Should I Have My Carpets Cleaned?

submitted on 31 July 2021 by carpetcleaningwarrington.co.uk
carpetcleaningwarrington.co.uk are an established service provider. We are the oldest carpet cleaners in Warrington. In fact over twenty years. Our reputation is how we succeed. We promote the health benefits on using a professional service however this is not everyone's priority.

It's a fact that some homes go many years without having some form of carpet cleaning. Hoovering does not clean. This is only uplifting dust and loose particles.

People become used to their living habitats.

Without a proper carpet clean, the edges become darker in colour. This is down to dust trapped underneath, and can not escape.

The cost of employing ourselves greatly out-weigh the costs of replacements.

So what are the advantages?

You may be surprised to learn that before we even ventured into our first property we attended a 14 day training course. This was very hands on. We were taught how carpets are made, their backing, and fibres.

There are many variables involved with carpet cleaning:-
  • what can be used to clean these different types of fibre?
  • which cleaning agents shrink or distort using heat?
  • Should I use a low moisture or dry compound cleaning agent?
Actually, the majority of work we undertake is steam extraction.

So what do we do before anything starts? Firstly, we ask a lot of questions:-
  • What is the room size?
  • do they have pets?
  • is urine an issue?
  • what stains are they aware of?
  • have they attempted to remove any issues themselves with shop products?
From this we can deliver our free quotation. Some customers do ask for a personal visit which is also free.

Now having secured the work, a date is set. Upon arriving to carry out our work - irrespective of which system we use - we always vacuum. A lounge of 15ft square would take us around ten minutes to complete. We do this so when applying our chemicals a higher percentage of fibre is treated. Our solutions are of a very high quality.

The application is applied at 28 psi, using a cross-over method. This is then left to settle for a minute. We then use a mechanical machine which massages any solutions from tip to base of any given fibre. We will repeat this process if necessary. As this is an alkaline product this must be at all times neutralised using a comparable acid. Ph 7.5 is the ideal litmus paper test result.

Now that the preparation has been completed, we can now proceed with the execution.

Using our truck mount we can tackle 3 square feet at a time. Our normal water pressure is around 300psi. The vacuum system is very powerful and can operate up to 160 feet away.

As for costings, the average lounge is £55.00

This area will be clean, fresh and stain free. From a health perspective, dust mites, bacteria, allergens will have all been eliminated and removed.

That's certainly a better financial outlay than spending a few thousand pounds on new carpets. It's our advice that you should use a similar service in your area at least once every twelve months, and more often if you have pets or small children.
