Christmas Party Equipment Hire - Pros and Cons

submitted on 20 December 2021 by easyeventhireuk.com
'Tis the season to be jolly - at least we hope it is, after all the trials and tribulations of the COVID pandemic. Traditionally, Christmas is a time to enjoy parties and celebrations with friends, family and colleagues. Whether it's a company Christmas party, a festive party at home, or a large arena Christmas party, the chances are that most of us attend at least one of these in some form or another each year.

In order for Christmas parties to happen in the first place, the venue - wherever that might be - has to be able to cater for all the invited guests in terms of food and drink, tables and chairs, dance floor, bar and so on. These are all essentials! Some venues will already have their own equipment, but other venues will need party equipment hire in large quantities, and so let's take a moment to look at the pros and cons of this.

The pros

It's cheaper
Can you imagine having to find the money up front to go and purchase tens or hundreds of tables and chairs, amongst many other things? Hiring party equipment is THE most cost-effective way of achieving the finish and look you want to create - it's a fraction of the cost of buying it.

It's temporary
The nature of a Christmas party means that there's probably only going to be one or (at most) several taking place each year. Party equipment hire provides you with a simple and easy way to kit out your venue, knowing that you can just return it at the end.

There's no need for storage or maintenance
And this returning the furniture and equipment at the end is an important consideration, If you had brought the party equipment, then you'd need to store and maintain it for 12 months until next Christmas...and there's always a cost in doing this. Storage is usually charged by the square foot...and it doesn't come cheap! And what happens if your party decor or equipment suddenly goes out of fashion? It will then be difficult to use or sell, so you stand to make a huge financial loss on it. Surely it’s simpler to just hire the equipment in the first place!

The cons

It's not yours to keep
OK, so whilst there is an argument that buying party equipment will pay for itself over time, this probably isn't the case if you're using it only once or twice each year. If you're a conference organiser, for instance, needing 1,000 chairs every month through the year, then yes, it's probably going to pay off to buy the chairs outright. For Christmas parties, though, the party equipment isn't yours to keep...though for the reasons above, this is probably a good thing.

Someone needs to organise it
You might think that hiring party equipment is a hassle. And there's no doubt that it can be. There's a lot of choice in today's UK hire market when it comes to equipment hire for parties and weddings, so you just need to make sure that you are working with a reputable company that knows what it is doing. easyEventhire party equipment hire, for instance, is simple and straightforward. You can choose from hundreds of items, from dance floors and banqueting table and chair hire, through to party decor hire and much more. By working with an expert team and building a relationship, you'll be amazed at how simple it can be to hire Christmas party equipment.

So, do the pros outweigh the cons when it comes to party equipment hire? Yes, for sure they do. Only you can make the decision about what's going to work best for you and your event, but suffice to say there's certainly some affordable and hassle-free solutions available in today's event hire sector.

All that's left to say is a very happy Christmas and let's hope that 2022 sees us return to some sense of normality. Remember that..?
