Do You Need A Change In Your House?

submitted on 7 October 2014
Do you want to change the decor? Here's an easy plan to do it. Just a little imagination and our advices you can change your house very quickly and easily, in just a few days. Besides the fresh air and great style, the benefits of change are many others, including a good mood among family members.

Here are 6 easy home tips that you could follow to radically change the aspect of your house:

1. Paint the ceiling. In order to offer an aspect of height, the ceiling is usually painted in white. The same result could be obtained with some pale colors chosen carefully. The effect is similar if you choose a pattern or simply use some decorative stickers. Painting the ceiling in pale colors can give the room a special effect.

2. A different wall. Put the monotony of the design aside! Paint a wall of the room with a color of contrast. Since painting takes a lot of time and produces a lot of mess, you can use wallpaper instead. Even though paining only one wall is not going to be very disturbing, wallpaper can lead to the same result as well. Don't be afraid of strong and warm colors like: red, orange, fuchsia, and so on. Try to take into consideration the dark ones as well: brown, gray or even black can work wonders if they fit with the entire room.

3. Replace the curtains and let the light inside the house. Light is an excellent decorator itself and it will highlight volume, space, colors and all the other decor elements that are already there. You might also like to try some artificial light spots placed in the right places, because they can create special effects and put in balance all the angles of a room.

4. New fabrics and patterns. Everything textile in a room is an essential contributor to the general aspect of a room. This is why the patterns need to be chosen according to the dimension of it. Simple patterns are highly recommended for small places, while the others match to big spaces. You can choose rough textures, natural textures that look good in a sober room, fine textures for an elegant and modern room or even silk, cotton and velvet for intimate rooms.

5. Reorganize the furniture. It is the easiest and fastest way to change the way a room looks like. The change can be radical. If you decide to arrange the pieces of furniture, you need to ensure continuity. It also has to be practical and simple. Symmetry is your best friend and it is a criterion that you need to take into consideration. At the same time, you can also paint furniture for a better overall appearance.

6. Change or refresh all the elements of decor for your walls. A new painting, a new clock or a photograph can totally change a room. It is one of the easiest ways to change the aspect of your house. If you think you can do more than this, don't stop here. Change the cover of your couch and all the elements that count when it comes to aspect. Buying a new carpet can also make a room look totally different. Since you are at it, make sure that you also consider window changes. Nowadays you even have access to eco-friendly windows, if that is what you need so the diversity is quite high.

The result should be a new, fresh house that can make you feel better and more attached to it than you were before. This is now possible through the huge diversity that is possible, with the examples above being just some of all you could do.
